Ex-designer - Marti Guixe
Ex- as a self-status element; this term breaks the current taboo of cultural institutions, solely interested as they are in social questions. As I am often asked if I am no longer working, I respond that I am, but as an ex-designer.
拙訳）Ex- と自分を定義することで、社会的な疑問とされている文化的な慣例のタブーを破ることができる。よく、「もう働いてないんでしょ？」と聞かれるけど、僕はこう答えるようにしてる。「働いてるよ、ex-designerとしてね。」

→ex-という接頭語は「超」と言う意味がある。（完璧と言う意味も）マルティ・ギシェの常識を超えながら、シニカルに馴染むデザインは、ex-という立ち位置から生まれてくる。それは枠組みを取り払った越えた真のオリジナリティ。
